P  lease keep in mind that this is NOT about ‘healing’ (Syl doesn’t want to focus on the end result, but on the process) so she would love your support to help her through whatever is coming her way… xxx she doesn’t need anyone (trying) to change it…she just would like some help with this road trip.

This message I copied from the description of the Facebook Event Page and almost the exact same words my mom shared over dinner yesterday. This was their prayer they asked their church to share. No plea for healing, but for the strength to walk this path.

So if you wonder who inspired my attitude, these two beautiful people I’m blessed to call my parents are at the very core of it. The way they handled their own cancer has been a major influence.

One of the first things my father said after we knew about this aggressive brain tumour: miracles do happen. And he’s right. They do.

So while they were expressing how inspirational we are (and that I should write a book about) I showed them their role in all of it.
It made them smile xxx
